Our Mission

We are on a mission to help clean up the worlds oceans and stop plastic before it enters the sea.

How

Cleanups

By organising, taking part in and supporting cleanups in and around the coast we not only help to remove plastics from the ocean but learn more about the ocean plastic crisis and how we can help to tackle the problem on a local and global scale.

How

Learn & educate

As we learn more we can help to educate ourselves, other individuals, businesses, organisations and local governments about how to help tackle the crisis.

Everything we have learnt so far shows that single-use plastics are one of the biggest contributors to the ocean plastic crisis. Being a global issue there is a lot to learn and a lot of action to be taken.

By studying ocean plastics from our home in South Portugal we learn about how plastic moves within the ocean and the scale of the problem. We believe we have hit a tipping point from the innovation and mass production produced as a result of the industrial revolution.

As the world moves towards its next technological shift in terms of AI and consumer awareness we want to be a positive influence on the health and strength of our world's oceans.

Products

Currently, 80% of the plastic that enters the ocean comes from Asia. That's why the launch of our Ulu Ocean Xplorer dry bag range has used ocean-bound plastics from this area. With cleanup operations to remove plastic before it enters the ocean, we have been able to develop a range of products to help us explore and enjoy the ocean, our biggest source of inspiration.
